SAT Syllabus
You have understood the SAT Exam Pattern, now learn about the SAT Syllabus. Once this is done, you may go through the books and create a preparation plan with the prep tips shared below. After this, you may test your potential using the official sample tests for preparation.
Divided into three parts (Critical Reading, Maths, and Writing), this exam is 3 hours long with an optional 50-minute essay. The syllabus covered in this exam is very basic, which is covered in your school curriculum. This test hence becomes a really easy and interesting one.
The Critical Reading section has further three categories, viz. reading comprehension, sentence completion, and paragraph-length critical reading. Similarly, the Math section contains three more categories: algebra and functions, geometry statistics, and probability and data analysis. The Writing section is divided into two parts including essay and multiple-choice sections.

A. The main purpose of the SAT exam is to evaluate the written, verbal and mathematical skills of the candidates. The exam is a standard test for candidates wanting to study in the USA and Canada and is not a tough exam if the candidate is willing to put in a commendable effort.

A. Most of the questions asked in the SAT exam is multiple-choice questions except for the optional Essay section.

A. After the SAT revision in March 2016, candidates should note that their SAT Essay Score does not affect the candidate's composite score on the 1600 point scale. However, an SAT Essay score of 20 is considered a good score for admission to Tier 1 colleges.

A. SAT practice tests are not harder than the real test as the environment and the anxiety at that time is completely different while one is performing the real test. Although the practice tests are designed as per the level of difficulty of the real test.

A. Although the difficulty level of the practice tests is almost the same as the real SAT test, however, it depends on how seriously you are attempting it. If you take it in the real settings with the same serious level as the real test then you will get almost accurate results.
