Step 3: Go to 'Find test location'
Step 4: Find a near test center and check the available test date and slots
Step 5: Select up to 3 test centers according to your city, state, and available time and slot
Step 6: Book the slot by paying the Registration fee and fill in other details and move ahead
Checking into the GMAT Exam Centers in India
There are certain rules that candidates should keep in mind while going to the GMAT test center. These are some important policies that you should know as if a candidate violates any of these then his/her scores can be canceled by the GMAC. Whether GMAT test centres in Mumbai or GMAT centres in Bangalore, one should always abide by the rules and regulations set by their exam center.
- Identity Proofs: Make sure that you carry valid ID Proof. The GMAT Test Centres of India consider Passport for identity verification.
- Appointment Confirmation Letter/Email: You should bring the letter of acceptance/confirmation that you would receive from the exam centre.
- College/Course List: You may bring the list of universities/programme names to which you would like to send your GMAT scores after you accept them.
- Reach Early: It is always better to reach the exam center early to have your time to relax. Try to reach 30 minutes prior to the scheduled GMAT time.
Factors to keep in mind while selecting a test center
Apart from keeping in mind what not to bring to the test center, one should also check for certain points while booking a GMAT slot.
Near your home - Check where the test center is located and whether it is easily accessible to your home or not. Whether it is easily cacheable from your home or place of stay or not. Most important whether you will be able to reach there on time during the test day.
Easily reachable - After checking the location of the test center check whether it is easily accessible or not. Whether it has connectivity with different public modes of public transport. How you will be traveling on the test day to reach there.
Infrastructure of the test center - Certain kinds of facilities are required to make the test convenient for the test takers. Testing stations are equipped with computers, mouse, and functioning keyboards.
Personal items allowed in the GMAT Examination Centres in India:
A lot of items are prohibited in the GMAT exam premises. The list of things allowed in the center is as follows:
- Identity Proof of the Examinee
- Spectacles
- Locker key inside the exam hall (if provided at the test center/no eatables or beverages are in the exam hall, they are stored in the locker)
- Comfort items like woolen clothes, or support pillow for the neck or back, or any other injured part of your body
